Pegasus: cyber attacks on beIN executives and Paris Saint-Germain, including Nasser Al-Khelaïfi

Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, president of Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) and of the Qatari pay-TV group beIN Media Group, as well as several executives of the two entities have been targeted by "Pegasus" spyware belonging to the Israeli company NSO Group, according to the French daily newspaper Le Monde on 21/07/2021.

"Analyses carried out by Le Monde, with which the organization Forbidden Stories and Amnesty International shared a list of more than 50,000 phone numbers targeted by the spyware of the Israeli company NSO Group, show that during this period, a client used Pegasus to target the management of beIN Media Group, chaired by Mr. Al-Khelaïfi. This same client also targeted many senior Turkish, Emirati and Lebanese officials and several voices critical of the Saudi monarchy, suggesting, with a very high degree of confidence, that it is a Saudi security service.
