LFP TV rights: League to take legal action against beIN Sports for the payment of Lot 3

"The decision of the Commercial Court of Nanterre has just been rendered in the dispute between beIN and Canal+, but neither the LFP nor its advisers have been able to have access to the content of the decision. It seems that the president of the Commercial Court has given clear instructions that the decision is reserved for the parties only until its publication tomorrow (24/07/2021). This is unfortunate as the decision has obviously been released by the parties to the press. We understand that the decision states that Canal+ can suspend its contract as long as beIN has not taken the action to sue the LFP as Canal+ requested under its sub-licensing agreement. This may take time and is not under the control of the LFP," wrote Arnaud Rouger, CEO of the LFP, in an email to the French league's board members, according to the sports daily L'Equipe on 23/07/2021.
