esports: Formula 1 team McLaren opens its first dedicated studio at its headquarters in Woking (ENG)

McLaren Racing has launched the "McLaren Shadow Studio", the first dedicated studio for the British Formula 1 team's esports team, on 22/07/201. "The McLaren Shadow Studio marks McLaren's commitment to esports and gaming as it continues to give greater access and develop its competitive presence in the space," said McLaren.

"McLaren Shadow Studio will be based at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking (ENG), serving as an activity hub and space for the McLaren Shadow esports team, as well as McLaren Shadow ambassadors to train, race and produce content. McLaren entered esports in 2017 to explore the performance opportunities that exist at the intersection of gaming and real-world racing," explained the team, which entered the world of esports in 2017.

The team has mobilised its partners to equip its new studio.
