The Netherlands pay-TV group Ziggo Sport, has acquired the broadcasting rights to the Ligue 1 Uber Eats in the Netherlands for the 2021-2024 cycle, on 26/07/2021. The French league has not had a broadcaster in the Netherlands for several seasons.

On the same day, Ziggo Sport also announced the extension of the broadcasting rights in the Netherlands for several sports competitions, including the 6 Nations Rugby Tournament (the Women's 6 Nations Tournament will be added to the programming schedule), Formula E, Indy Car and the WRC World Rally Championship. Ziggo Sport has also acquired the broadcasting rights to the new BNXT League (resulting from the merger of the Belgian and Dutch basketball leagues), whose inaugural season begins in 2021-22.

Ziggo Sport has in recent months extended its broadcasting rights to the Champions League, Serie A TIM and LaLiga Santander until 2023-24. However, the group has not succeeded in extending its broadcasting rights to the Premier League after the 2021-22 season. The Swedish group Nent has acquired these rights for the 2022-2028 cycle (see below).
