esports: Alban Dechelotte appointed general manager of G2 Esports, after three years at Riot Games

Alban Dechelotte has been appointed general manager of G2 Esports, whose team on the League of Legends video game plays in the LEC, announced the esports organisation based in Berlin (GER) on 29/07/2021.

"I am thrilled to join the G2 family to support the expansion of the organisation in new territories and new entertainment activities," said Alban Dechelotte.

"Alban has not only pioneered sector-first partnerships for esports around the world, but has an extensive amount of experience combining huge global FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) brands with the world of gaming," said Carlos Rodriguez, CEO at G2.

Alban Dechelotte has held the position of head of partnerships and business development EMEA at Riot Games since April 2020. The Frenchman joined the American video game publisher in March 2018. Prior to that, he spent five years at Coca-Cola as assets marketing manager for North West Europe and the Nordics (2013-2015), and then as senior entertainment marketing manager (2015-2018).
