Covid-19/Germany: the four biggest sports leagues join forces to offer vaccination opportunities

The German football (DFL with Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga), basketball (easyCredit Basketball Bundesliga/BBL), handball (Liqui Moly Handball Bundesliga and 2.Handball Bundesliga) and ice hockey (Penny Del) leagues and their respective clubs want to offer additional vaccination opportunities in Germany and thus support the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, according to Germany's four largest sports leagues on 27/07/2021.

The "Initiative Profisport Deutschland" (IPD/Programme for Professional Sport in Germany), which brings together these four leagues, supports cities and urban communities in implementing vaccination opportunities near sporting events.

The "Initiative Profisport Deutschland" unites 107 clubs in more than 80 cities and urban communities throughout Germany.
