FC Girondins de Bordeaux: Winamax (betting), main shirt sponsor for €1.4m/year (2021-2024)

Winamax, a French sports betting operator, has become the main shirt sponsor of FC Girondins de Bordeaux (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) for three seasons (2021-2024), announced the club on 30/07/2021. The bookmaker will pay the Girondins €1.4m per season, according to News Tank Football's information.

As a betting operator, Winamax replaces Betclic Group, a company based in Bordeaux (Gironde), partner of the Girondins for 2019-2021 (back shirt sponsor). Winamax also succeeds Bistro Régent on the front of the FC Girondins de Bordeaux shirts. The restaurant chain has extended but reduced its commitment to the Bordeaux club by becoming a back shirt sponsor for all of the club's teams for the 2021-2024 cycle.

Winamax was previously a shorts sponsor of FC Girondins de Bordeaux for the 2015-2019 period and was the club's main shirt sponsor in the European Cup for 2017-2019.
