Serie A TIM: Crypto.com, first partner of VAR and Goal-Line Technology in the European Top 5

Crypto.com, a Hong Kong-based cryptocurrency and NFT platform, is to become the first "technology partner" for VAR and Goal-Line Technology (GLT) in the Serie A TIM from 2021-22, announced the Lega Serie A at its general assembly on 02/08/2021.

The Serie A TIM thus becomes the first European league to market sponsorship space for VAR and GLT. "The work carried out in recent months to create new collective opportunities has been appreciated (by the 20 clubs). Crypto.com will be the 'technology partner' present on all TV media related to VAR and GLT," explained the body.

Crypto.com has already partnered with the Lega Serie A to generate NFTs for the 2020-21 Coppa Italia final (TIMVision Cup). VAR was introduced in the Serie A TIM in 2017-18.
