TikTok: number of followers of the 77 European Top 5 clubs with an official account (August 2021)

With 12.3 million followers, Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) remain the most popular European club on the Chinese social network TikTok, ahead of FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander, 10.2 million followers) and Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander, 6.8 million), according to data recorded by News Tank Football on 01/08/2021.

The Parisian club, posted the best growth in absolute value during the month of July 2021 with an additional 2.3 million followers, ahead of Tottenham Hotspur FC (Premier League, +1 million).

Borussia Mönchengladbach (Bundesliga) posted the best percentage growth over the period (excluding accounts with less than 100,000 followers) with a 33.8% increase in followers, ahead of OGC Nice (Ligue 1 Uber Eats, +29.7%) and ACF Fiorentina (Serie A TIM, +28.2%).

77 of the 98 clubs (78.6%) in the European Top 5 have an official account on TikTok:
• 20 out of 20 (100%) in the Premier League
• 18 out of 20 (90%) in LaLiga Santander
• 15 out of 20 (75%) in the Ligue 1 Uber Eats
