Premier League: Everton FC to launch a Fan Token in partnership with Socios.com (cryptocurrency)

Socios.com, a cryptocurrency blockchain platform owned by the Maltese companies ChiliZ and Mediarex Sports & Entertainment, has become an official partner (second level) of Everton FC (Premier League) from 2021-22, announced the club on 03/08/2021. As part of the agreement, the Malta-based company will generate Everton's first "$EFC Fan Token".

"Engagement opportunities for $EFC Fan Token holders will include the chance to have a say on club initiatives by taking part in interactive polls that will run throughout the season. Fans will also gain access to Everton content and experience Socios.com’s geo-location, augmented reality feature 'Token Hunt', as well as being able to put their skills to the test against other fans from around the world in Everton-themed games, competitions and quizzes. Taking part will allow Blues to compete in global leaderboards and earn real-life and digital Everton awards, benefits and experiences along the way," said the club.
