Bundesliga: Sky acquires broadcasting rights in the UK and Ireland (2021-2025)

The British pay-TV operator Sky has acquired the broadcasting rights to the Bundesliga and the DFL-Supercup for the United Kingdom and Ireland, over the 2021-2025 cycle, on 05/08/2021.

"Sky will show Bundesliga matches across Sky Sports linear channels as well as utilising a range of digital and social platforms to promote the Bundesliga. The premium fixture of each weekend will be live on Sky Sports Football at 18:30 CET every Saturday. Bundesliga International and Sky Sports will strongly collaborate to create innovative content formats and interactive experiences," said Bundesliga International, a subsidiary of the DFL.

The rights to the Bundesliga had been held in the UK and Ireland by Sky's rival, the pay-TV bouquet BT Sport, since the 2013-14 season.
