Free: promotion of the "Free Ligue 1" application through partnerships with 12 top flight clubs

Free, a French telecommunications operator that broadcasts Ligue 1 Uber Eats over the 2020-2024 cycle (digital lot, see below), has become a partner of FC Nantes, AS Saint-Étienne and Angers SCO from 2021-22, announced the three top flight clubs on 04 and 05/08/2021.

These agreements, the first in a long list between Free and Ligue 1 clubs, will enable the operator to promote its "Free Ligue 1" application (launched in August 2020) to fans and to offer "new content" relating to team news. The application will remain free for 2021-22, except for access to the near-real-time highlights, which will become payable (€3.99/month with no commitment) from Matchday 6 of the season for non-Free subscribers.
