Premier League: Leeds United launch first fan token in partnership with Socios.com (cryptocurrency)

Socios.com, a cryptocurrency blockchain platform owned by the Maltese companies ChiliZ and Mediarex Sports & Entertainment, has become an official partner (second level) of Leeds United FC (Premier League) from 2021-22, announced the club on 05/08/2021. As part of the agreement, the Malta-based company will generate the English club's first fan token, the "$LUFC Fan Token".

By purchasing Fan Tokens, fans will be able to influence the club's decisions by participating in polls throughout the season. They will also be able to take part in games, quizzes and competitions to win real and virtual benefits and experiences, as well as the "Token Hunt", a geo-located augmented reality treasure hunt for tokens.
