Infront: Christopher Axer (head of sales at FIFA) named director of central sales from 01/10/2021

Christopher Axer (GER), current head of sales at FIFA, has been appointed as Infront's director of central sales for the ProSports division, based at the marketing company's headquarters in Zug (SUI), and will take up his post from 01/10/2021, announced Infront on 09/08/2021.

Axer has spent nearly 15 years at FIFA and has held various positions within the governing body of world football. "Axer moved into sponsorship sales and for the last 10 years has negotiated major commercial deals for FIFA's World Cup competitions across all levels and volumes. Axer has led FIFA's global sponsorship programme for the last three years, during which he established an entirely new sales team with six direct reports," said Infront.

"As FIFA head of sales, Axer was instrumental in developing and rolling out the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 sales strategy as well as in shaping FIFA's new commercial programme for the 2023-2026 cycle," added the Swiss company.
