2021-22 Ligue 1 Uber Eats: attendance for Matchday 1 (18,383 spectators on average per game)

Matchday 1 of the 2021-22 Ligue 1 Uber Eats season drew an average of 18,383 spectators per game from Friday 06 to Sunday 08/08/2021. The average fill rate was 60%. Ligue 1 clubs posted an average 24,492 spectators per game on Matchday 1 of the 2019-20 season (nearly all of the 2020-21 season was played behind closed doors due to the Covid-19 pandemic), for a fill rate of 80%.

8 of the weekend's 10 matches were played without capacity restrictions. Only AS Monaco FC - FC Nantes (1-1) at the Stade Louis-II (limited to 8,500 spectators) and Montpellier HSC - Olympique de Marseille (2-3) at the Stade de la Mosson (13,500 spectators) had their stadium capacities reduced by the public authorities due to the local health situation.

Olympique Lyonnais - Stade Brestois 29 (1-1), on Saturday 06/08/2021 (kick-off at 17:00 CET), was the game that posted the best attendance on Matchday 1 with 29,018 spectators at the Groupama Stadium (commercial capacity: 57,206, a fill rate of 51%).
