LaLiga/CVC agreement: Real Madrid CF to take legal action against Javier Tebas and investors

"At its meeting today at 11:00 (CET), the Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) board of directors unanimously agreed to initiate both civil and criminal legal action against the LaLiga president, Mr Javier Tebas Medrano, Mr Javier de Jaime Guijarro, head of the CVC Fund, and against the CVC Capital Partners SICAV-FIS Fund itself," announced the club on 10/08/2021.

"LaLiga announces an agreement in principle with CVC (based in Luxembourg) that will inject €2.7bn into the competition and its clubs. The operation will be carried out through the creation of a new company to which La Liga will transfer all its businesses, subsidiaries and joint ventures and in which CVC will hold a minority participation of 10%," announced the Spanish League previously on 04/08/2021.

This agreement entitled "LaLiga Impulso" ("Boost LaLiga" in English), was unanimously approved by LaLiga's executive committee, has yet to be ratified by the clubs' extraordinary general assembly, which will be convened on 12/08/2021.
