Women's Euro 2022: over 140,000 tickets sold in three weeks, including 53,000 for the final

More than 140,000 tickets for all 31 matches of the Women's Euro 2022 (06-31/07/2022) have been sold in a three-week pre-sale organised by the US payment solutions and financial services group Visa, including 53,000 tickets for the final of the competition at Wembley (London, ENG, 31/07/2022), "surpassing the record number of tickets sold for any previous Women’s EURO match," announced The Football Association on 04/08/2021.

"Supporters from 68 different countries have purchased tickets with the split of purchasers 47% female and 21% concessions (16 years of age and under). The figures solidify The FA and UEFA's ambition to make the tournament the biggest women's football event in UEFA history and inspire positive change in the women's game," said the English body.

"The tournament, which is due to be the biggest women's European sport event ever, will have over 700,000 tickets available across the ten venues, with prices ranging from £5 to £50 (€6 to €59)," added The FA.
