Paris Saint-Germain: Socios.com offers $PSG Fan Tokens to Lionel Messi after his arrival at the club

Socios.com, a cryptocurrency blockchain platform owned by Maltese companies ChiliZ and Mediarex Sports & Entertainment, has activated its partnership with Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) for the arrival of Lionel Messi, announced the club on 12/08/2021. "In a world first for such a high-profile signing, Leo Messi received a large number of $PSG Fan Tokens," said the club, which has been in partnership with Socios.com since 2018-19.

The $PSG Fan Tokens are digital assets bearing the Paris Saint-Germain logo created in limited quantities on a blockchain. Once purchased by fans, these tokens allow them to participate in votes or polls on PSG matters (e.g. choosing a slogan for the captain's armband).
