esport: SAP (IT) and Mastercard (payment solutions), partners of the LEC (Riot Games)

SAP, a German IT company, has become a partner of the 2021 Summer Split (summer segment) playoffs of the League of Legends European Championship (LEC), which starts on 13/08/2021, announced LoL Esports, an entity of Riot Games that manages the marketing of its esports circuit, on 12/08/2021. On the same day, LoL Esports also announced a partnership with Mastercard (payment solutions) for the 2021 Summer Split playoffs as well as the 2022 Summer and Spring Splits.

"SAP will be working together with the LEC stats team to create new statistics segments during the Summer Playoffs," said LoL Esports, of which SAP was already a partner during the 2020 Spring Split (spring segment). The German group entered esports with Team Liquid (NED) in 2018 (partnership still in progress).

As the "official payment partner," Mastercard is once again the sponsor of the "Play of the Week" segment. The American group had already been a partner of Riot Games competitions in North America (LCS), Brazil (CBLOL) and of the global event Mid-Season Invitational. Mastercard has also been a partner of G2 Esports…
