Premier League: all you need to know about the broadcast of the 2021-22 season

Brentford FC - Arsenal FC, the first match of the 2021-22 Premier League, scheduled to take place at the Brentford Community Stadium (17,250 capacity) on Friday 13/08/2021 (kick-off at 20:00 local time, 21:00 CET), is broadcast in the UK by pay-TV group Sky, on its channels Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sport Premier League.

The other fixtures of Matchday 1 of the 2021-22 season are also broadcast on Sky Sports, with the exception of Manchester United - Leeds United on BT Sport on Saturday 14/08/2021 (12:30 local time, 13:30 CET) and the two Saturday matches at 15:00 (local time) which are protected by UK law and therefore not broadcast on TV (see below). These protected matches were broadcast during the health crisis, since they were being played behind closed doors due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

• In France, Matchday 1 of the 2021-22 Premier League is co-broadcast by pay-TV channels RMC Sport and those of the Canal + group.
