FC Bayern Munich: Audi (car manufacturer), sleeve sponsor for the 2021-22 Champions League

The German car manufacturer Audi has extended its partnership with FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) to become the club's sleeve sponsor in the 2021-22 Champions League, announced Bayern on the occasion of the presentation of its third shirt dedicated to European competitions on 17/08/2021. UEFA is allowing sleeve sponsorship for the first time from 2021-22.

Audi has also been a sleeve sponsor of the Bavarian club in the DFB-Pokal since 2019-20, ever since German clubs were able to market this sponsorship space for German Cup matches.

The German group extended its partnership with Bayern until 2028-29 on 14/01/2020. Audi pays €5m per year, totalling €500m over the 2020-2029 period. The brand belonging to the Volkswagen Group has been a sponsor of FC Bayern Munich since 2002-03. It also acquired an 8.33% stake in the club for €90m in 2011.

Qatar Airways (airline) retains its visibility on Bayern Munich's sleeve for its 2021-22 Bundesliga matches. The Qatari group pays Bayern €15m per season over the 2018-2023 cycle.
