Poland: Cezary Kulesza succeeds Zbigniew Boniek as president of the Football Association (PZPN)

Cezary Kulesza has been elected as president of the Polish Football Association (PZPN) for a four-year term (2021 - 2025) at the body's general assembly held at the Sofitel Victoria Hotel in Warsaw (POL) on Wednesday 18/08/2021.

Born on 22/06/1962, Cezary Kulesza, who was previously vice-president for professional football at the PZPN, succeeds former international Zbigniew Boniek, who stepped down after nine years at the helm of the Polish Federation (26/10/2012 - 18/08/2021) having reached the two-term limit.

"My goal is to unite all parts of Polish football. I wish for us to be one whole football family," said Cezary Kulesza, who was previously president of Polish club Jagiellonia Białystok from 2010 to June 2021 and played 14 Ekstraklasa matches for the club.

According to Kulesza, his focus as the new president of the PZPN, will be concentrated on four key areas: training, club support, integration and professionalisation.
