With 20 clubs under contract, Nike is the most represented equipment supplier among the 98 clubs in playing the European Top 5 during the 2021-22 season. The American brand is paying a total of €437m to its 20 clubs (20.4% of the 98 teams), including €150m for FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) and €80m for Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats). In 2021-22, PSG will display the Jordan Brand (a subsidiary of Nike) logo on its home kit.

adidas comes second in this ranking, with 15 clubs under contract (15.3%). The German brand is spending €392.2m on the 10 known contracts in 2021-22, including €110m on Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) and €83.8m on Manchester United FC (Premier League).

The two sports equipment giants are spending at least €830m on these 35 clubs (35.7%), or 76% of the €1.09bn total paid by all equipment manufacturers to the 72 clubs (out of 98) for which News Tank Football has details of the contract values as of 23/08/2021.
