Borussia Dortmund: a charity match for victims of the flooding in Germany to be played on 01/09/2021

Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga) will play a charity match against SpVg Hagen 1911 and SV Hohenlimburg 1910 (Westfalenliga, 2^nd amateur division), two clubs from North Rhine-Westphalia, one of the regions hardest hit by the floods in Germany in July 2021 (see below), announced the club on 23/08/2021. The match will take place at the Ischelandstadion (Hagen, GER) on 01/09/2021 (kick-off 17:30 CET) with proceeds going to the victims.

4,999 tickets will be sold at a price of €10 for standing room and €20 for seats. The match will be broadcast on Sky Sports News (Sky Deutschland Group) and on the free-to-air channel Bild TV, as well as on BVB TV, the club's OTT platform. "Revenue from the TV broadcast will also go to the victims of the flood disaster," said the German club.

"We will do our part to help those affected by the floods and give all the proceeds from the charity match to the victims," said Hans-Joachim Watzke, chief executive officer of Borussia Dortmund.
