England: Intersport to be shirt sponsor of Wigan Athletic for 2014-15

Intersport, a sporting goods distributor, will be the shirt sponsor of Wigan Athletic (Championship, second English division) in 2014-15, the club announced on 14/07/2014.

The Intersport logo will appear on the centre of Latics' shirts during their games. The company, headquartered in Switzerland, will replace the betting operator 12 Bet, Wigan's shirt sponsor in 2013-14.

Intersport has also been the principal shirt sponsor of Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1) since 2012-13, and the partnership will continue through 2014-15. The contract is worth an estimated €8m.
