Italy (Serie A TIM): 1.5 million subscribers for TIMvision and nearly 1 million for DAZN (press)

The telecommunications operator Telecom Italia has "at least 1.5 million subscribers" for its TIMvision streaming service (up from 350,000 in July 2020), according to the Italian business daily Milano Finanza on 24/08/2021.

TIM notably offers TIMvision (series and films), DAZN (Serie A TIM, LaLiga Santander, MotoGP, NFL, UFC...) and Infinity (Mediaset's streaming service which will co-broadcast 104 of the 121 Champions League matches, solely via streaming, over the 2021-2024 cycle) at €29.99 per month for the first 12 months (then €34.99).

DAZN has signed a partnership with Telecom Italia (for its TIM brand) for the acquisition of the Serie A TIM broadcasting rights in Italy for €840m per season over the 2021-2024 cycle. Telecom Italia will provide 40% of DAZN's expected payments in order for TIM to be "the reference telephone and pay-TV operator for the DAZN content offering in Italy as well as for the technological partnership."
