LaLiga Santander: Real Betis open a second academy in Mexico, their seventh outside Spain

Real Betis Balompié (LaLiga Santander) will open its seventh academy outside Spain in Mexico City (MEX) as part of its "strategic plan to expand its brand and methodology worldwide, educate through football and transmit the values of the institution," announced the club on 24/08/2021. Real Betis already has an academy in Mexico (see below).

The academy, which is due to open in September 2021, will cater for 200 children aged between 5 and 16 and will be supervised by Juan Parra, head of sports at the Real Betis Balompié Foundation. "The academy will also have a coach provided by the club to apply its methodology. In addition, if health conditions allow, trips to Seville (Andalusia, ESP) will be organised so that the participating girls and boys can enjoy Betis' VIP experiences," said the Andalusian club.
