Juventus FC: board of directors approves a €400m capital increase

"The board of directors of Juventus FC (Serie A TIM), which has met today in Turin (ITA), under the chairmanship of Andrea Agnelli, has approved the proposal to increase the share capital against cash contribution up to €400m," announced the Italian club on 25/08/2021. As part of the transaction, which was previously presented on 30/06/2021, the issue of new shares will be carried out with a pre-emptive right for the benefit of the existing shareholders, who will be convened at a shareholders' meeting on 29/10/2021.

"The capital increase is part of the measures to address the significant economic and financial impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic and will enable to strengthen the company's equity and to balance funding resources to support the achievement of the strategic objectives of the development plan for the financial years 2019-2024, which have been confirmed: consolidating the economic and financial balance, maintaining sports competitiveness and increasing the visibility of the Juventus brand," explained the Turin club.
