Belgian Count Jacques Rogge, the eighth president of the International Olympic Committee, which he led from 2001 to 2013 (after Spain's Juan Antonio Samaranch and before Germany's Thomas Bach), has died at the age of 79 after a long illness, according to the IOC on 29/08/2021.
