"From 12/06 to 13/07/2014, beIN Sports held the live broadcasting rights for the entire 2014 World Cup. For this event, beIN Sports performed outstandingly, breaking multiple ratings records," the French pay-TV company said on 15/07/2014.

The 2014 World Cup enabled beIN Sports France to set its highest ratings record since its founding on 01/06/2012; 1.273m viewers on average watched the Argentina-Switzerland (1-0 aet) round of 16 fixture on 01/07/2014. The same game, broadcast exclusively by beIN Sports 1, also brought beIN Sports France its highest ratings peak of 1.682m viewers.

Six matches during the tournament were watched by more than 1m viewers on average: the group stage games of Switzerland-France (1.094m) and Equator-France (1.123m); the round of 16 fixtures of France-Nigeria (1.160m), Argentina-Switzerland (1.273m), and Belgium-United States (1.060m); and the France-Germany quarter-final (1.185m).
