MLB: Portable HD cameras placed on baseball players to put viewers at heart of games

High-definition portable cameras by iON Cameras (USA) were placed on MLB (Major League Baseball, USA) players during the contest "Home Run Derby" and during the warm-up of "Futures Game" (the game between the best young players in the MLB) at Target Field (capacity 46,504) in Minneapolis on 14/07/2014.

The goal of this operation was to put viewers at the heart of the event. The footage from these cameras was accessible on the MLB's official website and shared on the league's social networks.

A partnership was also signed between iON Cameras and MLB on 14/07/2014; this was a day before the 85th All-Star Game was hosted in Minneapolis (Minnesota, United States, 15/07/2014).

  • iON has been under contract with Manchester City (Barclays Premier League) since 25/02/2014. The contrat goes through 2016-17.
