Ligue 1 Uber Eats: Viacom 18 acquires broadcasting rights in India (some matches broadcast on MTV)

Viacom 18, a joint venture between the US media conglomerate ViacomCBS and Indian media conglomerate Network 18, acquired the rights to broadcast the Ligue 1 Uber Eats, in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and the Maldives over the 2021-2024 cycle, in August 2021.

Viacom 18 has not outlined its programming for the French league but is expected to broadcast the matches on its OTT platform Voot and some matches on the MTV music channel, according to information gathered by News Tank Football.

Viacom 18 has also acquired the rights to broadcast LaLiga Santander and the Serie A TIM, over the 2021-2024 cycle, in recent weeks.
