Premier League: Nissan to sponsor Manchester City and subsidiary clubs through 2018-19

The Japanese automaker Nissan will be an official sponsor of Manchester City (Premier League) through 2018-19, the club said on 17/07/2014.

In addition to the 2013-14 Premier League champions, Nissan will sponsor Manchester City's subsidiary clubs Melbourne City FC (Australia) and New York City FC; the later will begin playing in the MLS (Major League Soccer, USA) in 2015.

The company will get visibility on the advertising boards at Eithad Stadium in Manchester and on the club's digital platforms. Nissan's logo will also be on the back of the shirts of the women's Manchester City team. The entire partnership is estimated at €5m per season.

The subsidiary clubs of Manchester City

  • Melbourne City FC (A-League, the first Australian division) were bought by a consortium led by Manchester City FC (Premier League) on 22/01/2014. The club is now 80% owned by Manchester City.
