Ligue 1 Uber Eats: Instagram, Facebook and Twitter statements of the 20 clubs (September 2021)

The 20 clubs competing in the 2021-22 Ligue 1 Uber Eats season total more than 155 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/09/2021. The French championship is now ahead of the Bundesliga (141.7 million fans, for 18 clubs) and is therefore no longer the least popular European Top 5 league on these three social networks combined, with an average of 7.7 million fans per club.

Paris Saint-Germain remains the most popular French club with more than 105 million fans, followed by AS Monaco FC with 14.5 million and Olympique de Marseille, with 11.8 million.

Driven by the arrival of Lionel Messi on 10/08/2021, the Parisian club posted the best growth in absolute value among the Ligue 1 clubs - and those of the European Top 5 - in August 2021, with a total of 15,385,614 additional fans across the three social networks (i.e. 96% of the total increase posted by all Ligue 1 teams over the period). This increase was mainly concentrated on Instagram (+12.2 million followers, or 79% of the total).
