Bundesliga: Europa-Park (theme park), title sponsor of SC Freiburg's new stadium from 2021-22

Europa-Park, a German theme park located 40km from Freiburg im Breisgau (Baden-Württemberg, GER), has extended its partnership with SC Freiburg (Bundesliga) and obtained the naming rights for its new stadium, which will be inaugurated in 2021-22, announced the German club on 31/08/2021. The partnership, which begins on 01/10/2021, part of a "long-term agreement."

The Europa-Park Stadion, with a capacity of 34,700 (including 12,400 standing), will replace the Schwarzwald-Stadion (24,000 capacity) from 2021-22. Construction of the new stadium in the north-west of Freiburg im Breisgau began in November 2018 and cost the city, which owns the stadium via the company Stadion Freiburg Objektträger GmbH & Co KG, €76.5m. SC Freiburg rents the Europa-Park Stadion for €3.8m per year (€2.5m if the club plays in the 2.Bundesliga).
