Euro 2020 posted a cumulative global audience of 5.23 billion viewers across 51 matches, an average audience of over 100 million viewers per match, according to UEFA on 02/09/2021.

"The final was watched by 328 million fans, on par with the record set in 2016. The match between Italy and England at the iconic Wembley Stadium was the most-watched TV event in the United Kingdom in 24 years and in Italy since 2012. The match set all-time streaming records for any type of programming in both countries," said the European body.

A total of 1.9 billion people (unique viewers) watched the competition, which was broadcast by 137 broadcasters in 229 territories. "Audiences for Euro 2020 are ranked among the most viewed moments of all time. Digital engagement figures also demonstrate the enormous global appeal of the competition," added UEFA.
