Premier League: 12Bet to be shirt sponsor of Hull City through 2015-16

12Bet, a Chinese betting operator, will be the shirt sponsor of Hull City (Premier League), the club announced on 17/07/2014.

The amount of this sponsorship was announced as the largest in the "club's [...] 110-year history", and thus would surpass the €1.2m paid by its 2013-14 shirt sponsor, Cash Converters, a company that buys and sells second-hand products.

Hull City's coming participation in the third qualifying round of the 2014-15 Europa League helps explain the increase in the amounts of the club's sponsorship deals; although Hull City (16^th in the Premier League in 2013-14) were beaten in the 2013-14 FA Cup final by Arsenal (2-3 aet, on 17/05/2014), Arsenal were already qualified for Champions League (fourth of the Premier League), and so Hull City will be able to participate in the Europa League.

12Bet was Wigan's shirt sponsor (Championship, second English division) in 2013-14.
