TikTok: number of followers of the 81 European Top 5 clubs with an official account (September 2021)

With 19.3 million followers, Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) remain the most popular European club on the Chinese social network TikTok, ahead of FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander, 11.1 million followers) and Tottenham Hotspur FC (Premier League, 7.6 million), according to data recorded by News Tank Football on 01/09/2021. The London club is now ahead of Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander, 7.4 million), now in 4^th place.

Boosted by the arrival of Argentina's Lionel Messi on 10/08/2021, Paris Saint-Germain is also the club that posted the best growth in absolute value, with 7 million additional followers during the month of August 2021. Far behind, Manchester United FC (Premier League), in second place, posted a growth nearly seven times less (+1.1 million followers).

The biggest percentage growth (excluding promoted clubs and accounts with less than 100,000 followers) was posted by these two clubs: +56.9% for PSG and +39.3% for Manchester United, followed by Atalanta BC (Serie A TIM , +30.6%) and OGC Nice (+25.8%).
