ECA: clubs demand financial, governmental and communication reforms

• "Financial reform to solve both the immediate solvency issues facing all clubs across Europe and the longer-term challenge of delivering regulation that ensures both sustainability and competitiveness.
• Governance reform to ensure that stakeholders work more closely together to deliver a modern, credible football industry that is financially sustainable and socially conscious.
• IMC (Integrated marketing communications) reform based on honest engagement and that recognises the importance and contribution of the club game to international football and delivers a better balance between clubs and national associations."

These are the three areas of "a clear mandate to pursue meaningful reform" in which the 160 ECA members present at the General Assembly held in Geneva (SUI) on 06 and 07/09/2021, presented to the executive board after having heard various presentations of the current state of European football, according to the European Club Association said on 07/09/2021.
