Paris SG: "Mr. Tebas (LaLiga), we don't need lessons in the financial control of clubs" (LFP)

"The Ligue de Football Professionnel asks Mr. Javier Tebas (president of LaLiga) to watch his outrageous statements. It does not wish to be the "muleta" waved by Mr. Tebas to hide the internal problems of Spanish professional football. The League responded firmly to the Spanish leader's latest attacks on Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats), which he described as an "enemy" and a "club-state", in reference to QSI (Qatar Sports Investments), the Qatari investment fund that owns the club.

"There is data which shows that it is not viable. Today, Paris Saint-Germain spends more than €500m on salaries, while there have been losses linked to Covid and the decline in TV rights in France. It is not sustainable," said Javier Tebas, on the sidelines of the presentation of LaLiga Santander's 2021-22 Panini collection in Spain on 07/09/2021.
