esports: 8 official events to be held at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China

Eight official esports medal events (for as many different video games) are on the programme of the 2022 Asian Games which will be held in Hangzhou (CHN) from 10 to 25/09/2022, according to the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) on 08/09/2021.

While esports had been presented as a demonstration sport during the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta (Indonesia), it is the first time that the disciple will be represented in official competition.

League of Legends (LoL, Riot Games), Dota 2 (Valve) and FIFA (EA Sports) are among the games involved. These eight titles offer various types of video games (MOBA, battle royale, war, combat, strategy, etc.) on several devices (PC, mobile and video game consoles).
