Michael Bolingbroke (British) was named CEO of Inter Milan (Serie A), the club said on 18/07/2014. He will be tasked with "increasing the reach and depth of penetration of the Inter brand globally, and improving engagement with fans," Inter Milan added.

Michael Bolingbroke, 48, had been the chief operating officer of Manchester United (Premier League) since 2007. With the Red Devils, he was responsible for hospitality, ticketing, operations (matches as well as non-football events) as well as the administrative services (finance, human resources and judicial affairs) of the club. The name of his successor at Manchester United had not been revealed as of 21/07/2014.

"He is the perfect person to execute the vision shared by the Moratti family and myself of Inter as a truly global brand," said Erick Thohir (INA), the majority shareholder and president of the Milan club, on 18/07/2014.

The American kit supplier of the club, Nike, and Inter Milan founded the company FC Internazionale Merchandising Srl on 15/04/2014 to develop the merchandising and image of Inter Milan around the world.
