UEFA/2021-22: eight official partners for the Champions League, seven for the Europa League

Mastercard (payment solutions, USA), Heineken (beer, NED), PepsiCo (beverages, USA), Just Eat Takeaway.com (meal delivery service, NED), FedEx (logistics, USA), Gazprom (energy, RUS), PlayStation (video game console, Sony, JPN) and Expedia Group / Hotels.com (online hotel booking, USA) are the eight official partners (first level) of the 2021-22 UEFA Champions League, whose group stage began on Tuesday, 14/09/2021.

UEFA is thus embarking on a new cycle of sponsorship rights for three seasons (2021-2024). Of these eight sponsors, only Expedia Group is committed for just one season (2021-22). These eight partnerships also include the UEFA Super Cup. For this new rights cycle, the Champions League no longer has a car sponsor (Nissan, for 2018-2021) or a banking partner (Banco Santander, for 2018-2021). The Champions League also had eight partners during the 2018-2021 cycle.

The annual amount paid by UEFA's official Champions League partners over the 2018-2021 period was between €30m and €50m, according to industry figures.
