Juventus FC: partnership with a university laboratory to reduce the club's carbon footprint

Juventus FC (Serie A TIM) has entered into a partnership with the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna (Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies, public research university) in Pisa (ITA) with the aim of reducing its carbon footprint, announced the club on 16/09/2021. Juventus had previously joined the "European Life Tackle" project, launched by the school in 2018, which is aimed at "analysing and developing action designed to enhance the way professional football and sports events in general approach the environment."

"The Institute's sustainability laboratory will assist Juventus in quantifying its Scope 3 emissions, which refer to team travel (for the first team and youth academy) and fan mobility for all home games. This new focus will bring added depth to Juventus’ reporting activities, collecting as much data and information as possible to create a more accurate overview of the club’s direct and indirect impacts and help shape future strategies in the area," explained the Turin club, which has been committed to measuring its environmental impact since 2019.
