FFF: two new international academies inaugurated in Montreal (CAN) and Santa Cruz (USA)

"As part of its international expansion work, the FFF is inaugurating two new FF Academies in North America: one in Montreal (Canada), the other in Santa Cruz, California (USA)," announced the French Football Federation on 15/09/2021. While the Montreal academy opened its doors in September, the Santa Cruz academy will begin its activities in October 2021.

"These new academies, the third and fourth of their kind after those in New York (USA) and Singapore (see further reading), will welcome young players for training courses as well as training camps. In total, more than 2,000 children, aged 6 to 16, will be able to benefit from a French-style training programme throughout the world," said the FFF.

"The FFF is pleased to continue its international development work, in particular by affirming its presence in territories that will soon be hosting major world sporting events (the 2026 World Cup will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico)," said François Vasseur, marketing director at the FFF.
