Bundesliga: Bayern Munich launch American version of website

FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) launched fcbayernmunich.com, a website for their American fans, on 17/07/2014. It features content in English from fcbayern.de as well as an English version of FCB.tv, the internet television portal of the 2013-14 champions of Germany.

The new website also offers access to an online store for American fans: "Following on the launch of the online store in the United States, this website is a new important element of our development strategy there. The 60m football fans in the United States can now follow our club closely," said Jörg Wacker, the director for internationalisation and strategy, on 17/07/2014.

Through a geolocation system, American users that connect to fcbayern.de will be automatically redirected to the new American version of the website, fcbayernmunich.com. This will happen on both computers and mobile terminals, and it aims to also speed up the experience for American users.
