UEFA: Two sections of Parc des Princes to be closed due to incidents at previous PSG-Chelsea match

On 22/07/2014, the UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body ordered the closure of sectors 104 and 105 (a little less than 1,500 seats) of Paris Saint-Germain's (Ligue 1) stadium, the Parc des Princes, for their next home game in the Champions League.

UEFA's decision was made according to Article 14 of the 2014 UEFA disciplinary regulations following complaints filed by disabled Chelsea fans on 25/05/2014 after they were allegedly hit by projectiles and spit from Parisian supporters during the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals (3-1) between the two clubs at the Parc des Princes on 02/04/2014.

Paris SG responded to the sanction on 22/07/2014 by noting that it had been handed down without the release of any official report, and said, "Paris Saint-Germain is surprised and shocked by this unfair decision and asks UEFA to transmit to the club the grounds for this decision; the first step to launching an appeal against this sanction.
