Marseille: "Arema is preparing the Stade Vélodrome for 17/08/2014 as agreed in our contract" (Arema)

"Arema is preparing the Stade Vélodrome for 17/08/2014 at 14:00 [time of the Olympique de Marseille-Montpellier HSC fixture, second Ligue 1 matchday] as agreed in our contract with Olympique de Marseille," Arema told New Tank on 22/07/2014. Arema, a subsidiary of Bouygues, and is tasked with operating the Marseille stadium (for a duration of 35 years).

Nevertheless, according to the French sports newspaper l'Equipe on 09/07/2014, Montpellier HSC (Ligue 1) and Montpellier Agglomération, the owner of the Stade de la Mosson (capacity 32,950), have accepted Olympique de Marseille's request for the first home game of OM, initially scheduled at the Stade Vélodrome (capacity 67,500), be played at the Stade de la Mosson. Neither club has confirmed this information.
