USA-Canada: beIN sports renames streaming platform beIN Sports Connect

beIN Sports Play, which is the TV channel beIN Sports' video streaming platform for internet and mobile devices in the United States and Canada, has been renamed beIN Sports Connect, announced the American pay-TV group beIN Sports USA on 22/07/2014.

beIN Sports Play is accessible in the United States, where beIN Sports has been present since August 2012, and included in major American pay-TV packages. In Canada, it is part of the package proposed by Bell TV, which has offered beIN Sports channels there since 17/03/2014.

The beIN Sports Play service was also available for free to Canadian residents from 06/10/2013 to 06/01/2014, and by subscription after this date: five Canadian dollars (€3.6) for 24 hours, 12 Canadian dollars (€8.6) for a month and 120 Canadian dollars (€86) for a year.

beIN Sports Connect was launched in France on 04/06/2014, in time for the 2014 World Cup (Brazil, from 12/06 to 13/07/2014), for which beIN Sports held the entirety of broadcast rights in France.
