TikTok: number of followers of the 81 European Top 5 clubs with an official account (October 2021)

With 20.1 million followers, Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) remain the most popular European club on the Chinese social network TikTok, ahead of FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander, 11.4 million followers) and Tottenham Hotspur FC (Premier League, 8.4 million), according to data recorded by News Tank Football on 01/10/2021.

Driven by the return of Portuguese player Cristiano Ronaldo at the end of August 2021, Manchester United FC (Premier League) was the club that posted best growth in absolute value  during the month of September 2021, with an additional 4.1 million fans. Far behind, Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham, tied for second, each posted a growth of 800,000 fans.

The best percentage growth (excluding promoted clubs and accounts with less than 100,000 followers) was posted by Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Uber Eats, +258.5%), ahead of Manchester United (+105.1%) and VfL Wolfsburg (Bundesliga, +71.7%).

81 of the 98 clubs (82.7%) in the European Top 5 have an official account on TikTok:
